A Surprisingly Entertaining Disc!

Added: (Thu Jan 06 2005)

Boston, MA, January 6 2005 - Gr8Trax recording artist Mark Joyce has just released his debut solo album. Entitled “Surprise Party”, the collection features 10 new original songs. He is assisted by guitarist Bob Enik & drummer/percussionist Ed Morrill. The single “Sweet Angel” is followed by a variety of new material, ranging from the Adult Contemporary sound of “Nothin Much Matters” and “Start All Over Again”, to the swamp romp of “Watch Yourself”. The stoner anthem “Unwind” is highly recommended. There are special guest appearances by Tom Lally & Phil Calson. The collection includes several radio friendly singles, a power ballad, and a few other interesting experiments. The “Something Different” your ears have been craving could be on this disc. A blend of cold calculation, inspired giddiness and brilliant mistakes makes for a breath of fresh air. “These are songs that happened while we were supposed to be on hiatus!” marveled bassist B.F. Smith. Secretly recorded at an undisclosed location, this album jumped up from behind the couch shouting as soon as the lights went on. Mark Joyce’s catalog includes songs recorded by tinyHUGE, FastForward and Great Caesar’s Ghost among others. Tracks will be available at ヨ CDBaby.com, Apple iTunes Music Store, Rhapsody (Listen.com), BuyMusic.com, Emusic.com, AudioLunchbox.com, MusicMatch.com & AOL's MusicNet For more info, check out www.cdbaby.com/gr8trax ###
