New Publisher Joins CNBC Business

Added: (Mon Aug 24 2009)

Pressbox (Press Release) - London, Aug 18, 2009: Ink Publishing today announced that publishing veteran Giles Morgan has been appointed Group Publishing Director, effective immediately. Morgan was previously Group Commercial Director for Boat International Group and takes the helm at titles such as CNBC Business, BMI Voyager and both Brussels Airlines titles, bThere and bSpirit.

Morgan has been running his own consultancy Jacob Noah Entertainment for the last four years and has an extensive background in growing publishing businesses. He returns to Ink for the second time, having served as Group Publisher from 2003 to 2005.

Covering Europe, Middle East and Africa, CNBC Business was launched in 2004 and celebrates its 50th issue and 5th anniversary in September. During the five years since launch, it has become a regular sight on European newsstands targetting business travellers.

This is consistent with the CNBC TV channel in EMEA which last year dropped ‘Europe’ from its brand.

Richard Lofthouse, Editor of the magazine says: “It was a unanimous and totally straightforward decision to abbreviate our masthead in the light of how the world is changing, with globalisation increasingly driving business strategy.”

Both CNBC and CNBC Business cover Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
CNBC Europe reaches a high-level audience of 7 million of Europe’s top 20% of income earners each month (EMS 2008). Its audience is made up of senior business leaders, financial professionals and active private investors, an audience which is both valuable and difficult to reach for advertisers.

CNBC Business reaches high-end business travellers by being available in-flight with key airlines, in airport lounges and in major hotels, as well as newsstands in over 45 countries in Europe and beyond. The magazine is an important part of Ink Publishing’s international portfolio of magazines, which includes more in-flight publications than any other company in the world.
