Reseller gets into Pepe Jeans
Added: (Tue Aug 31 2004)
Only two months after signing up as a Business Solutions Reseller; for UK based PCSL, OSL Europe BV have closed their first deal with Pepe Jeans.
OSL Europe; who already supply Pepe Jeans with a character-based suite called STYLEman, have implemented PCSL’s web based information management tool - e-organiser™ - into the leading international jeans manufacturer. “Pepe had a growing need for a web interface to STYLEman’s sales order entry and as a Business Solutions Reseller for the web based e-organiser™ product it was an obvious choice to provide Pepe with the functionality they needed,” says Mats Dekker, Managing Director of OSL Europe BV.
Having signed up as an e-organiser™ reseller it took OSL and PCSL just 6 weeks of development time to deliver the order entry system to the Pepe test system.
Initially e-organiser™ will front end Pepe’s order entry system, used by Sales Representatives and a selection of customers, to enable them to do all of their ordering online. Using real-time data the risk of ordering goods that are out of stock is eradicated. Andrew Brown, PCSL Product Manager explains “e-organiser™ gives a web front end to STYLEman while still integrating seamlessly to the back end character system. This front end enables Pepe’s users to deliver a more efficient customer facing service. The visibility of real-time stock means that availability is always accurate, allowing customers to be offered alternatives when stock is unavailable. The web interface also allows customers to see colour images of the stock they are ordering.”
With a user base spread over many countries; Pepe has European offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Amsterdam, London and Florence, all needing to exchange data on a daily basis. Together OSL and PCSL have provided this functionality by offering access to a range of data from one central location, by making it available over the internet. In Quarter 1 Pepe will allow their customers access to order replenishment over the web, increasing the e-organiser™ user base to a possible 1500 users.
