Holiday let lodge success for redundant building.

When racehorse trainer Stuart Howe decided to demolish a redundant stable block in the Exe Valley in Devon, little did he know it would turn into a profitable business. Stuart commissioned Western Log Group in March 2007 to install a timber lodge to replace the stable block, located by the River Exe, for holiday-let purposes.
The timber lodge, which he designed himself, was opened for business in June 2007 and is already fully let until the end of the autumn.
The timber lodge is made from high quality Baltic pine and contains four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living area. The master bedroom has a balcony with spectacular views over the River Exe, whilst the living room also has a balcony with equally as impressive views over the Exe Valley.
Stuart commented: “I was tremendously pleased with the Western Log Group installation team, and the customer care given by Western Log Group right through to the after sales service.”
For a project which was originally a hobby, Stuart added: “Due to the success I've already experienced with the timber lodge as a holiday let, I will be considering installing another lodge on another site.”
