Keeping it in the family!


Warwickshire couple Neal & Sarah Bennett purchase property in Cornwall, becoming the 5th generation of the family to own the property.


The property was built in 1892 by Neal’s Great-Great-Grandfather, Captain John Henry Bennett as a Ships Chandlers incorporating two family homes. The Bennett family have owned and lived in the property, on the waters edge, since it was built, Neal’s parents still live on the ground floor.

The property was converted to apartments in 1994, and the two-bedroom apartment ‘River Views’ was formed. Neal grew up in Fowey, Cornwall in the family home and is a regular visitor with his wife and own children (Daisy 5 & Poppy 3). Neal says, “Fowey is a beautiful coastal Cornish town, my children enjoy visiting the beaches and trips on the river, and of course the pasties & ice-creams!”


River Views is now available as a holiday let via www.foweyriverviews.co.uk, with amazing views over the river to Daphne Du Mauriers home ‘Ferryside’. Neal says, "I hope Fowey River Views brings as much pleasure to visitors as it has done for us".
