Welcome to Yorkshire Open Air Theatre
MADNESS, the UK’s favourite sons of ska, will be headlining one of the hottest festivals this summer in Scarborough. Yes, it’s the real deal as The Welcome to Yorkshire Open Air Theatre is turned into a House of Fun on Saturday 18 September.
Madness will be supported by the talisman and statesmen of the UK dance scene, Stereo MCs, who will be laying down tracks from all of their previous albums including the seminal Connected, as well as exclusively showcasing brand new material hot from the studio. The evening kicks off with six-piece reggae band Ali & The Beachcombers, basking in their success of headlining many cool summer events, including Hartlepool’s Tall Ships Festival.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have such a fantastic line-up for the first 360° Extreme Sports Festival. Madness is a much-loved band whose recent album The Liberty of Norton Folgate sees them once again at the top of their game! We are looking forward to a guaranteed 90 minute set from Madness, as well as a the amazing and respected Stereo MC's with their unique blend of rap, R&B and dance music with a healthy blend of European techno, dub and cool jazz! The evening will kick off with the hugely popular Ali & The Beachcombers, guaranteed to be the hottest ticket in town!”
