Pinballers Anonymous are pleased to announce the 5th annual UK Pinball Show. The 2009 event is open to the public and is being held from Friday 24th until Sunday 26th of July at Franklin’s Gardens, the home of Northampton Saints Rugby Club.
Over 100 pinball machines, from vintage to the latest releases, will be set on FREE-PLAY for visitors to enjoy and children can get in FREE!* You can try your luck in the European Pinball Championship, or enjoy a number of other tournaments for adults, children and teams**. Many of the tournaments are recognised by the International Flipper Pinball Association and award World Ranking Player Points for competitors.
But it’s not all about competition. Nick Bennett from The Pinball Blog tells us “The UK Pinball Show is a family friendly event attracting enthusiasts and casual players from all around the world. Not everyone will be the next Pinball Wizard, but everyone can have a great time.The majority of machines are there to be played in the public arena with a vast selection of different machines available ”
Legendary pinball designer Steve Ritchie flies in for the event and speaks at a special evening dinner and awards ceremony at the Marriott Northampton on Saturday night. Bennett added “To be able to attract probably the best known pinball designer in history shows how far the event has come in 5 years. It’s a world class event and is still organised by enthusiasts as it has been since day one.”
