Added: (Fri Sep 12 2008)

Pressbox (Press Release) - The Children's Hospital Trust - an independent charity organisation that acts as the fundraising arm of the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital - is proud to announce the launch of their brand new website: www.childrenshospitaltrust.org.za. Set to heighten the awareness of the Trust and their role at the Hospital, this new site also functions as an easily accessible donations portal.
The new site will be a major tool to engage and interact with new and existing donors, while still meeting the needs of various other visitors to the site - people seeking information about the Trust’s governance policies, news on events, developments on current projects and even stories of hope from patients at the Hospital.
“As the way we source information and communicate with one another has moved into the online realm so too have the methods of raising funds for well deserving charities like the Children’s Hospital Trust. Online fundraising is the wave of the future and is now an integral part of charities around the globe”, says Natalie Jean Earle, the Trust’s Communications Resource Liaison.
The site has been redesigned and developed in order to improve its look and feel and to increase its functionality. It is now more appealing to visitors with improved interactivity, news, compelling appeals, easy eNewsletter sign-ups and new features like RSS feeds so that supporters can stay up-to-date.
The new site will work hand in hand with the Trust’s marketing strategy which aims to maximise giving opportunities on the site and to give visitors a chance to engage with the Children’s Hospital Trust and to help play a part in supporting the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital.
This new site is enhancing the ability of the Children’s Hospital Trust to design creative ways to increase awareness of the Hospital’s ongoing needs and to generate the much needed supplementary funding. The Trust is wholly dedicated to driving this new site and is currently looking to employ fresh viral campaigns to help gain support for the Hospital.
Visit the new site in order to get a feel for this children’s hospital charity organisation and to learn more about the difference you can make in the lives of the children it empowers.

Additional Information on the Trust and the Hospital:

The Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital
The Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital is the only specialist paediatric hospital in sub-Saharan Africa and has an integral role to play in the medical wellbeing of children throughout the continent. The Hospital not only treats the sickest of the sick with great success but also serves as a training facility and runs various crucial outreach projects. This leading medical institution is managed by the Provincial Government of the Western Cape at an estimated cost of R300 million per annum ($43 million) to the government.
The Role of the Children’s Hospital Trust
Over and above the R300 million contribution from the government each year, the Hospital depends on the Children’s Hospital Trust to raise critical supplementary funding. In consultation with the management team at the Hospital the Trust’s work is focussed on raising supplementary income for selected needs and long-term projects at the Hospital.

These projects include the purchasing of life saving equipment, the upgrade and maintenance of vital buildings at the Hospital as well as the development of the professional staff who work at this children's hospital in Cape Town, South Africa.
As a non-profit charity organisation the Children's Hospital Trust relies on the generosity of their donors to help them realise their aims and objectives. They proudly guarantee that 100% of all money donated to the Trust benefits the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital directly.
