12 August 2008 – Residents in Cambourne have arrived home to a novel invitation this week: to join a new social networking service focussed on injecting life and community spirit into their modern residential development. Launched by ResidentsHQ, the private social networking site aims to enhance the experience of being a resident in a large development by making it easy for them to interact with each other and build local communities.

The ResidentsHQ service is a secure, private, password protected social networking website for Cambourne residents. Through it, they will be able to:
• Locate and interact with neighbours with common interests
• set-up clubs and events (such as a running or home-workers’ club, or coffee morning)
• contact residents via secure internal e-mail
• review and share experiences on local restaurants, shops, businesses or trades people
• list items or services for sale in the residents’ marketplace
• use a forum to discuss a range of topics such as asking for recipes or sharing local news.
