To enter is simple. Members can just log-in to their free account on the website, and leave a comment on the light-hearted blog : “If you could take anyone from history on holiday with you, (fact or fiction, dead or alive), who would it be and why?” All those who comment on the blog will be automatically entered in the draw. The closing date for comments is midnight on 15 February.

Guide2PoitouCharentes director Richard Stewart believes the competition will attract people from both sides of the channel, he said “whilst the holiday will prove very attractive to those living in the UK, we believe that British expats living in France, especially those who are not in a coastal location, will be interested in this great prize.” For UK residents, the prize will include a return Dover-Calais ferry crossing if required.
