Raising The Profile Of Legal Services

Added: (Tue Aug 24 2010)

Pressbox (Press Release) - Despite the importance of legal services within any civilised Society, there are many misconceptions surrounding legal services within the UK. Consequently, the legal firm 100%Compensation is urging the media to raise the profile of the legal system and legal services, to dispel many of the misconceptions that people still have about access to the legal system.

Date/Location:

Although there are many different forms of justice, in legal terms, anyone seeking justice needs to seek out legal advice. However, people still have many misconceptions about legal advice and legal services. They think that legal advice is expensive. They are fearful that they will run up enormous legal fees and then even if they win the case, they will end up paying most of their compensation in legal fees.

But in fact this is not the case at all. Legal services such as 100%Compensation offer clients a free service. Even phone calls to the legal team at 100%Compensation are free. The client does not incur any costs at all. Yet many people are reluctant to seek legal redress for any personal injury that they have suffered, whether in the workplace, in a public place or where there has been malpractice or negligence.

In reality this denies many people the opportunity to have justice for the injuries that they have sustained. They could seek compensation to alleviate the suffering caused by the injury or accident, to help them financially if they are not able to work. Yet this does not happen. What happens is that they are simply left to suffer on their own, perhaps with financial worries, with worries over their health and facing a future that can often look bleak. Within any civilised Society this should not happen.

There is a definite need to ensure that people are at least aware of their options when it comes to seeking to use legal services, which is why there is a need to raise the awareness and the profile of legal services. If people are aware that they can access the legal system without having to pay out a penny, then they can make an informed choice about whether or not they seek redress. That is very different from feeling that you have been denied access to the legal system because you could not afford to take out a case, following any kind of accident or injury.

This element of being able to make an informed decision about seeking to have a right put wrong and often more importantly, having someone acknowledge that you were wronged, is central to any good legal system. If people are denied access to the law, simply on the grounds of their financial status, then the legal system is failing them.

A good legal system must offer access for all and people should be aware that this is the case, in order for them to make an informed decision about righting any wrong that was done to them.
