First weekly classified equestrian and boating magazines to be launched

Pressbox (Press Release) -
Publishers The Friday Group are to launch two new weekly classified magazine titles – National horsemart Weekly and Boats Weekly – on Friday 28 April.
The magazines are to be launched as a direct result of the success of classified websites horsemart.co.uk and BoatsandOutboards.co.uk, which were acquired by The Friday Group in 2005. Both websites are the leaders in their fields within the UK, in terms of visitor traffic and number of adverts.
The majority of the content of the magazines is classified advertising – photos and accompanying descriptions of horses and other equestrian items, or boats for sale.
Chris Kidger, Chairman of The Friday Group said: “We recognised that there was a gap in both of these popular markets, for weekly titles that contained up-to-date items for sale.
“The nature of monthly magazines, especially their early deadlines, means that many of the classified items advertised are already sold by the time the magazine goes on sale.
“With our weekly magazines we can offer the latest horses or boats for sale, with deadlines set just days before publishing.”
These are the first paid-for titles for The Friday Group, which has been publishing free weekly and monthly classified titles since 1975. Their original publication is Friday-Ad, a free weekly title that is published in 68 local areas across the UK, along with two editions in Spain.
The Friday Group also own 20 general and specialist interest classified websites, including AviationJobsearch.com, TravelJobsearch.com, StallionsatStud.co.uk and homesell.co.uk.
The titles are priced at £1.95 and are distributed through Seymour Distribution Ltd.
