Samsung Diva Phone on T-Mobile - Samsung S7070 Diva

Added: (Fri Feb 12 2010)

Pressbox (Press Release) - The new Samsung S7070 is the first out of the blocks from the new Samsung Diva collection, this new series focuses on style and is very much aimed at the female mobile market with its unique new patterned back cover that resembles a 'quilted' design.

Samsung are becoming renowned for their affordable touch screen models but the new Samsung Diva phone stands out in a crowd of 'slabby' looking handsets, this latest addition is to be followed up with a clamshell design model called the Samsung S5150 Diva, this also features this new 'quilted' finish but this time it is all over the exterior of the device and finished in an elegant silver metallic makeover.

The Samsung S7070 does not offer the highest specifications and so manages to keep its price reasonable, there is still a good 3.0 mega pixel camera featuring smile and face detection software as well as a multimedia player, Bluetooth technology, internet browser and that all important expandable memory for storing those cherished photos, videos and music tracks.

Samsung have released a raft of new touch screen phones over the last few months with some experiencing large success whilst others fading into the distance, the more popular models that pose a threat to the new Samsung S7070 include the Samsung Tocco Lite, Samsung Genio Touch and maybe even the recently released Samsung S5560, however none of these models will stand out in a crowd like this first Samsung Diva phone.

Other manufacturers have also cottoned on to the affordable touch screen market and released their own models in direct competition, the most notable would be the LG Pop, also known as the GD510 this is a slightly slimmer phone with a bery sleek appearance and the added feature of solar charging (when purchasing a mobile solar panel separately) that may sway some of the more eco-friendly consumers.

The Pop is currently available in black and silver colour variants, none of which really pose a threat to the new female orientated Samsung S7070, however there are plans to release this LG model in both pink and purple which will appeal to a similar audience - if Samsung were to follow suit and launch a pink edition of this new model it would certainly hold its own.

The Samsung S7070 has now found a new network partner in T-Mobile, originally released on Orange pay monthly deals this Samsung Diva phone now has double the number of tariffs to choose from and further network launches as well as a Pay As You Go release are expected.
