Former punk Carol Grant is lifting the lid on her past life of being married to a rock star – and she’s gone straight to number one in the charts.
The 55-year-old is proving that age is no barrier to having fun in her stunning semi-autobiographical The Trials and Tribulations of the Rock Star’s Second Wife.
Carol, a business woman, has deliberately blurred the lines between fact and fiction in her hilarious account of the ups and downs of a sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle.
The mum-of-two said: “The Trials and Tribulations of a Rock Star’s Second Wife is semi-autobiographical and is based on me and my husband, who is the fading rock star.
“The book reveals what goes on while we are on and off the road.
“It documents some of the crazy antics we and our friends and families get up to and addresses other issues such as our friend Marsh and his rocky road to beating alcoholism.”
Since the publication of The Trials and Tribulations of a Rock Star’s Second Wife, it has gone to number one in Amazon’s musical biographies’ chart.
Carol‘s debut has also been rewarded with five-star reader reviews due to its honesty and humour.
And she hopes readers will take away the message that there’s still plenty of fun to be had, even in middle age.

Although leaving school with few qualifications and spending time travelling, Carol went on to further her education at Sussex University gaining a BA, MSc and finally an MA whilst juggling a family and work over a period of ten years.
As well as being a talented writer she is a highly-regarded photographer, regularly appearing in print and at exhibitions.
