SOS Children’s Villages is a leading international child care organisation. In India, it is operational as SOS Children’s Villages of India (SOS India), and focusses on long-term family-based care for onceparentless and abandoned children. It fosters their holistic upbringing with siblings, a mother, in a family-like environment and a community where they can grow up with love, safety and dignity.

Anuja Bansal, Secretary General, SOS Children's Villages of India, said, “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the celebrities for showing their support for the cause. Every child in need of care should be provided a loving home with a mother and every child must be respected and protected. It is only by investing in children today, we can succeed in promoting equitable, inclusive and sustainable development for the nation. We hope that these endorsements will motivate many more people and they will come forward to offer their support to us and to the once parentless children in need of care and protection. It will give us the strength and conviction to provide loving homes to many more children.”

She added, “Such meetings with celebrities, also provide a wonderful exposure to our children and convey to them the message of following their passion and heart.”

It requires just INR 10, 800 to support a child for one whole year. Not every child is lucky to have a home. India alone has 20 million children without adequate parental care. They need support as they too deserve a loving home.
