Global energy consumption in 2018 has increased at nearly twice the average rate of growth since 2010, which has, in turn, lead to a worrying increase in carbon emissions. Quick Ride, an app which helps users carpool their daily ride, has achieved an exceptional feat at a nationwide level by reducing more than 34k+ tons of Carbon footprint on Earth, all thanks to the 1.5 Million+ users who did their share by contributing toward the greater cause.
On the company’s latest achievement, Quick Ride CEO KNM Rao said, “In a metro city like Bengaluru, people don’t talk distance anymore, it's the time taken to travel from point A to point B. Even now I remember, though my office was just a couple of kilometers away, I used to spend 1 hour (on an average, sometimes even more), just for the commute. Rather than the workload, it was the commute that gave me nightmares! And that is how the notion of Quick Ride was born. A simpler, better and safe way to travel, while reducing carbon footprint and traffic on roads, and of course, being light on your wallet too.”

Quickride users can now either offer a ride, or take a ride, while saving the environment and their bank balance! The app encourages car owners to carpool and invite other people to ride with them. The app is intuitive & intelligent enough to suggest riders that are on the same route as the car ride offerer, which reduces the hassle of rerouting. It also allows ride givers to transfer the money earned directly to their Paytm wallet.
