Pressbox (Press Release) - Content and consulting company Scopism seeks input from the global SIAM and supplier management community to the second global SIAM survey. All respondents will receive free access to the survey results and analysis.

When it comes to getting value from both external and internal service providers, there are challenges that organisations need to tackle to allow better collaboration.
Service Integration and Management (SIAM) is a methodology that is gaining strategic importance within organizations with complex supplier ecosystems and has a major impact on improving IT service delivery. Organizations of all sizes across both the public and private sector are adopting SIAM and measure their progress in terms of productivity, flexibility, functionality and innovation.
Launched in 2018, the Scopism Global SIAM survey delivered some important results, including the reasons for adopting SIAM, the challenges organizations face and the skills that are necessary.

The survey proved to be a great success, with contributions from approx. 250 respondents from more than 40 countries. 62 % of respondents were employed in organizations employing more than 5,000 people, predominantly in mid-to-senior management roles of which 45 % work in IT.
So, what can companies learn from the SIAM methodology, and what is the fastest and safest way to implement it successfully?

Looking at the first global SIAM survey results, a great number of companies that have adopted the SIAM methodology have already increased business value delivered by IT services sourced from multiple suppliers. 52 % of the surveyed companies are seeking greater control over their existing vendors and 22 % are looking to move internally hosted services to a number of different managed providers.

One way to ensure successful integration is to give value to employee training and keep a focus on what works and what doesn't work for teams. Change is inevitable and the survey highlighted a range of skills that are relevant in a SIAM environment including ITSM, DevOps and contract management.

The results from the 2019 survey will be analysed in conjunction with the 2018 results to judge if the challenges and scope of SIAM have remained the same or are evolving.

Content and consulting firm Scopism has published the second global SIAM survey in collaboration with Kinetic IT, one of Australia’s leading ICT managed services providers.

This year they are looking to get responses from companies and individuals from any sector and from around the world, to continue to build a global picture of SIAM adoption and maturity. The survey is open from May 27th to June 30th.

Global SIAM Conference and Whitepaper Launch

The results of the SIAM survey will be analysed and published in a whitepaper. This whitepaper will be launched at the Service North SIAM conference, taking place in Manchester UK on 12th September 2019. The conference agenda features a discussion of the whitepaper results by a panel of experts including SIAM Professional architects Simon Dorst and Michelle Major-Goldsmith.
