Cotswolds relationship expert hits top of book charts

Pressbox (Press Release) - A lockdown urge to share his vast knowledge has led to relationship psychotherapist Nicholas Rose reaching the top of the book charts.
Better Together has also attracted a lengthy string of five-star reviews from captivated critics since its recent release.
Nicholas’s in-depth study of relationships and how to make them work has been described as ‘fascinating’, ‘beautifully written’, and ‘very insightful’.
The psychotherapist and visiting university lecturer has spent more than 20 years talking with people about relationship difficulties.
And with Better Together, the 55-year-old from the Cotswolds has taken his messages of hope to an even wider audience.
Nicholas said: “Time during the lockdowns led me to wanting to share what I had learnt as a relationship therapist over the years.
“It is a book about relationships where I give my unique take on why we choose the people we do, what makes us happy together, what can go wrong and what we can do about it.
“Over 20 years I have had insight into thousands of relationships.
“When relationships are painful it is natural to think about who is right and who is wrong but this really is not the way forward, rather it tends to deepen conflict.
“In Better Together I offer a different approach that both honours and uses the partners’ actual experience of being in the relationship to help them find ways forward.”
The individual concepts in Better Together are introduced through 12 stories which illustrate different aspects of relationships.
Nicholas clearly pinpoints things that can go wrong, and provides direction, tools and techniques for finding a positive outcome.
Better Together has peaked at number one in Amazon’s therapy chart.
Nicholas, who is a regular guest on radio and television shows to discus psychology, conducted his own research with the draft of his book ahead of publication.
He added: “I was lucky that a number of people volunteered to read Better Together when it was at draft stage.
“All the feedback was positive but it seemed that it resonated strongly with the female readers between early 20s to mid-40s.”
The positive feedback following the publication of Better Together has led Nicholas to consider writing a second guide.
