Cry for Justice

Pressbox (Press Release) - Cry for Justice {A prayer of paradigm shift} 25th December, 2022.
As long as the earth exists and man dwells on it, there would always be inter-racial conflict, strife and pervasive wickedness. In today’s world, the monopoly of violence lies with the state. People depend on its legal and security institutions for justice when they are wronged or harmed. The wheel of justice turns slowly though and many are left dejected and devastated by what the state would end up defining as a fair resolution.
The world’s system of dispensing justice ought to create harmony but it is faulty, because it is managed by people with different mindsets and interests. When the world’s ruling does not favour us, it is advisable to go to God in prayer than result to altercation, anger, bloody protests and war.
There is a supreme Being who is the Almighty God, The Chief Justice of the Universe. He governs over the affairs of men. Psalm 22:28 says, “For the kingdom is the LORD’s: and he is the governor among the nations”. Job 37:23 adds, “Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment: and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict”. What these passages tell us is that, the Almighty gives justice satisfactorily if we seek it from him directly with heart felt prayer.
We have all been wronged at some point in our lives, we all feel hurt that the world and its courts cannot heal or give closure too. We clearly need to first address justice prayerfully, before seeking justice from the conventional systems.
the need to cry for justice prayerfully is important because it is the most assured way to get the succour we deserve from the Chief Justice of the whole Universe—God. Asking for Justice prayerfully should become a practice to us as believers, because it is the most guaranteed way.
The chorus of the song, ‘Cry for justice,’ says “we pray for justice right now! O God of creation arise and give us justice”. It is in consonance with the repetition of the verse “the system is not fair to us”. This particular part of this song lays credence to the fact that there is need to cry for speedy justice, because the human system of justice can be slow, bias, partial, unaffordable, unfair, and discriminating. In most cases, there is a need for the Creator (GOD) to arise and give justice speedily. Moreover, the repetition of the continents of the globe in the song, is to reflect that injustice is not peculiar to a particular geographical region. Thus, it is a universal problem that must be addressed with prayer and a more peaceable approach.
In conclusion, we must keep praying, practising, preaching, promoting, living and crying for justice in our day-to-day life in order for peace to reign in the world. Many thanks to the producer of Cry for Justice, Kehinde Peters- Ndukauba, a profound gratitude to the main vocalist Mr, Odeyemi Onaopemipo, a big thank you to the producer of The Lord’s Presence Mr, Emeka Okolie for his advisory contribution to production of Cry for Justice. It is advisable to cry for justice in the place of prayer, as this is the best way of securing justice which is in consonance with the second line of the intro of Cry for Justice. “I see The Almighty giving justice to every one, that cries for it”.
