Terrorism needs funding to operate. It cannot function without money, to purchase weapons, or equipment, funds are inevitable. So terrorists smuggle weapons and drugs to obtain hard cash and to maintain their dominance in conflicted regions, they buy high tech weapons. Here comes the role of arms dealers like Tony Abi Saab, who supply them weapons for the profit. NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization), AAT (Arms trade treaty), WMD (weapons of mass destruction) are some treaties which enable armies to purchase weapons from Europe, Russia, and the USA. NATO is a military alliance with 28 countries. Earlier it's main focus was to look after allies who have signed NATO by giving them stability. Now, its main focus has shifted toward weapons of mass destruction, terrorism, and human trafficking. That's why the war in Afghanistan is a NATO mission and being fought by troops of the NATO members.
