Pressbox (Press Release) - Davos 2023: Daniel Layton, Chairman Ensorcia Group, will speak about the
automotive industry's impact on the energy transition during the World Economic
Forum

This week, the World Economic Forum 2023 is taking place in Davos, Switzerland. The event
brings together every year the leaders of the world economy, both public and private, to
discuss policies and contingent issues related to the economy, finance, and the environment.

One of the main topics for this version of the event is the energy transition, decarbonization
and the role it plays in the fight against climate change. In this sense, there are several topics
that are relevant to the event, such as renewable energies, electric mobility, international
goals, environmental and social impacts, among others.
As a main discussion in Davos, the global energy transition, is one of the major industries
that seeks to reduce carbon emissions in the world through electric vehicles, in order to
gradually reduce fossil fuel-based mobility.

This is where lithium comes into play – a key component in electric mobility. Despite billions
of investments in giga battery factories, the raw material supply has not been addressed in a
timely manner to allow a smooth energy transition and causes a serious long term shortage
of essential components, and lack of independency.
Mr. Layton will speak on Friday the 20th in Davos, on these and other topics at the
“Conversations with Daniel Layton, Chairman of Ensorcia Group: “Managing the Global Energy
Transition” panel, one of the events in Davos organized by Leaders on Purpose and The
Visionist Advisers (TVA), the global agency specializing in expansion plans.
As Mr. Layton points out, the traditional method of exploiting lithium means environmental
damage of great magnitude. So it is of utmost importance to find a sustainable way of
exploiting lithium, in order to make the electromobility industry circular and environmentally
friendly. And one of the primary objectives of Ensorcia Group has been for years working
with an innovative technology, developed by Dr. John Burba Chairman of International
Battery Metals – the only commercially proven DLE for lithium extraction.
Mr. Layton has a long experience as a business leader focused on the energy transition and
currently, as Chairman of Ensorcia Group, he is focusing on expanding sustainable lithium
extraction and processing technology in Europe and South America. This seeks to change
the paradigm of this industry and become a sustainable alternative, in order to achieve a
friendly production with the planet aligned with the interest and needs of the communities
and the areas they affect.

Mr. Layton will speak on the management of the global energy transition and what
companies and governments must do. He will lead a conversation on the global energy
transition and its main challenges, including the urgency of having a sustainable lithium
industry and extraction systems to ensure this goal, which will play an important role both
socially and economically, especially in public policies enforced by the International
Community in the future.
