Maintain the Data Quality of database with FuzzyCruce

FuzzyCruce (https://descontinuado.com/en/software/fuzzycruce/fuzzycruce.html) is a user-friendly and reliable piece of software that was developed to assist you in performing database cleansing operations, helping you remove duplicate records or merge together two different tables into one.
The application features a relatively basic user interface, yet it is sufficiently practical and approachable that even less knowledgeable individuals can work with it successfully from the first run.
The main window of FuzzyCruce allows you to load the source files, displaying each one's 'Table List', 'Fields' and 'History', so you can click on the one you want to operate in.
The program supports several different file formats, namely ACCDB, XLS, CSV and XLSX, enabling you to easily clean up your tables, regardless of the file type you store them in. You can load multiple files simultaneously, including of different extensions.
By clicking on the records in the 'Table List' or the 'Fields', you can view the contents of each entry, thanks to the 'Display' button, which reveals the table in a dedicated panel.
From the 'Remove' tab you can choose an item you want to cleanse and establish the 'Threshold' and 'Conditions' for the operation, as well as the 'Output Fields', after which you can press on the 'Query' button for the task to be executed. The application has been tested for the deduplication of databases of more than one million records. Unlike standart software the application has the ability to remove records that are fully contained in others.
For example, suppose a record contains the name "Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci" and another record contains "Leonardo da Vinci", most of the applications they are not programmed to remove these types of records, however FuzzyCruce can do so.
Similarly, the 'Join' section of FuzzyCruce lets you select the two items you want to merge from the drop-down menus and pick the corresponding fields for each one, then enter the 'Threshold' and establish the 'Output Fields'. After pressing the 'Join' button, your results are displayed in the side panel.
To summarize, FuzzyCruce is a handy and effective database cleansing instrument whose main purpose consists of helping you get your data tables in better shape by removing duplicates or combining the contents of various fields.
