"Express Entry is an online system for managing Permanent Residency applications which have started from January 2015; there are currently three programs under Express Entry. Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Program, in addition, some provinces have subcategory through Express Entry for Nomination. It is a point-based system selecting the best candidates through Comprehensive Ranking system.
The Canada Express Entry works on entirely a competitive method of selection and not First Come First Serve basis and so the eligible candidates have rightly selected basis their skill and assessment results and not on time of application basis. Earlier the visa fees were to be paid by the applicants at the time of application along with submission of documents but with the new express entry online system, the visa fees need to be paid only after receiving the Invitation to Apply (ITA) from the Canadian government."
