Pressbox (Press Release) - Following a well received closed beta test earlier in the summer, the character brawler MultiVersus has quickly become a major hit for Warner Bros. Just based on the PC numbers alone, MultiVersus has already become Warner Bros biggest launch on Steam thanks to a concurrent player count that has beaten some major franchises on that platform like Mortal Kombat and LEGO Star Wars. With seasonal content and plenty of upcoming content on the way, the game clearly has no plans in slowing down.

Although MultiVersus is considered in its open beta phase, the team at Player First Games is actually using it as a soft launch of sorts. In fact, the early access period ended just a few days ago, but new updates have been rolling out often to continue improving the overall experience. The game's first DLC character of NBA superstar and Space Jam: A New Legacy protagonist LeBron James joined MultiVersus this week, with more characters like Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith coming soon.

For as red-hot as MultiVersus is at the moment, most players would agree that it isn't quite a flawless experience. In fact, director Tony Huynh has been very responsive across social media, responding to fans while giving updates on future fixes the studio has planned. On response in particular asked Huynh if there were any plans to fix the game's announcer, who at times seems to operate at a much higher volume than some of the other sounds, effects, and music.
