Pressbox (Press Release) - Iron Software Company launch the 'How to Read Text From an Image in C#' Tutorial for the Iron OCR C# .Net software component.

IronOCR is an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and Barcode library for C# and VB.Net. Iron OCR can be added to Desktop, Console and Web applications in minutes. IronOCR reads Text, Barcodes and QR from images and PDFs.

What makes IronOCR distinctive is the way it manages low quality images. IronOCR can read documents with low quality resolution, paper skewing and bad contrast. It examines documents in detail and applies image processing to set the OCR engine up to get the best from the input scan. Image pro processing tackles: Rotation and De-Skewing, Background Noise Cleaning, Resolution Enhancement, Increasing Contrast, Color Simplification, and Setting Crop Rectangle Regions.

IronOCR views the condition of an image before reading with the OCR software. Engineers can also modify image processing settings themselves if necessary.

Data is captured and exported in a variety of options including: Plain Text, Barcode Data, Object model organized information (headings, paragraphs, lines, words, and characters for each page).

Requires: .Net framework 4.0 or above on the Windows Platform including Cloud infrastructure, for example, Azure. Supports multithreading to enhance OCR execution performance on multi-core servers.

Language packs released for Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Danish, English, Finnish, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish at http://ironsoftware.com/csharp/ocr/
